To the fwschools.org Community,

What a week.

If Week 1 was about setting the foundation, Week 2 was about lifting the heavy rocks. Outwardly, things might have felt a little slower and quieter on our end over the last few days, but internally, we’ve been doing the deep, structural work required to turn our massive vision into a legally sound, executable reality.

And while we were heads-down building... our metrics decided to go completely crazy. 😵 (More on that below).

Here is where we stand at the end of Week 2:

🪨 Lifting the Big Rocks: The Blueprint & 90-Day Plan

We finalized our Strategic Blueprint. We aren't just proposing a standard Title 1 K-5 turnaround model; we are officially putting on paper what it takes to turn a Fort Worth public school into a true "Community Utility." This vision encompasses an on-site 0-to-5 early childhood center, a commercial micro-food hub, a fintech banking layer, and AI-amplified operations.

Because a vision this expansive could easily terrify a traditional, risk-averse school district, (and honestly just anyone who hears it for the first time) we broke it down. We formalized our First 90 Days Plan, mapping out the exact "blocking and tackling" steps for our team to execute immediately to ensure we are operationally and legally bulletproof.

Speaking of being bulletproof, we officially began putting together our IRS Form 1023 this week. Establishing our 501(c)(3) non-profit status requires absolute precision—especially when our model includes revenue-generating community utilities. We're laying the legal bedrock right now so we can sit at the table with FWISD as a mature, fully compliant operating partner.

🤝 Seeding the Grassroots

As we build out these massive, system-level blueprints, staying grounded is critical. We had a fantastic meeting with Principal Cotton this week. Having these ongoing conversations with the educational leaders doing the day-to-day work right here in Fort Worth ensures our vision perfectly aligns with the actual needs of the campus.

📈 The Metrics Went Crazy

We honestly weren't aggressively marketing the site this week, which is why we were completely floored by our dashboard. I strongly suspect a board member is out in the community working her magic and talking to folks, because word-of-mouth is spreading fast!

Here is the data dump:

  • 300% Email Subscriber Growth: We went from 7 subscribers last week to 28 subscribers today. That is a 300% jump!

  • 📈 700% Web Traffic Growth: Our unique visitors skyrocketed by 709% (up to 445), and our total page views jumped 895% (hitting 727).

  • 📚 280% Engagement Growth: The bounce rate dropped, and our average visit duration surged by 288% to 2 minutes and 14 seconds. People aren't just clicking; they are sticking around and actually reading our strategy.

📊 New Data Deep-Dive Published

We wrapped up the week by publishing a new article: The Coupon Effect: Quantifying Private School Subsidy with the Texas Vouchers.

Are the state's vouchers actually "saving" students from underperforming public schools, or are they primarily subsidizing families who have already chosen private education? We did the dirty work of parsing, cleaning, and joining the state's messy voucher application data with the official TAPR demographic identifiers. The data tells a very specific story, and you can read our full breakdown (and download our cleaned dataset) on the site today.

How You Can Help Right Now:

  1. Read and Share the New Article: Data belongs to the public. Forward "The Coupon Effect" to your neighbors, your PTA groups, and anyone invested in Fort Worth public schools.

  2. Keep Spreading the Word: Growth is our greatest defense. Whatever you all did to spike our traffic this week—keep doing it!

The rocks are getting bigger, but this community is growing faster than we anticipated. Thank you for being here, reading, and building alongside us.

Onward,

The fwschools.org Team
